Job Requirements

must be at least 18 years of age
high school diploma or GED preferred
one to three months related experience or training, or equivalent combination
ability to stand and walk for extended periods
ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds
ability to speak, read, and write in English
ability to operate necessary equipment safely
willingness to participate in and complete training
reliable and punctual attendance
ability to comply with company grooming and appearance standards
follow all safety and sanitation regulations
able to perform multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities
capable of working in various environmental conditions including exposure to temperature extremes and chemicals

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations
prepare, process, package, and stock products according to Fresh Foods Standards
provide courteous and prompt customer service
maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas
unload stock and reload salvage products
prepare and decorate bakery items according to recipes and standards
operate equipment to effectively prepare and portion products
communicate with customers and associates about requests and promotions
answer telephone inquiries professionally
follow product preparation, merchandising, and food safety guidelines
stock and block products to maximize sales and minimize shrink
monitor and display promotional items and samples
handle product receiving, rotation, and salvage processes
comply with health, sanitation, and safety regulations
assist in inventory, price changes, and paperwork
adapt to changing priorities and assist fellow associates in daily tasks
model professionalism, punctuality, and teamwork
comply with company policies and procedures
perform all scheduled job functions effectively
