The role of the Assistant Store Manager at ALDI is a critical leadership position that supports the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the store. Job Duties

  • Assist the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results
  • Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports
  • Identify training and development opportunities for direct reports
  • Understand and model the company core values and strategy
  • Monitor the competitive environment and inform direct leader of necessary adjustments
  • Provide product feedback and recommendations to the direct leader
  • Participate in the interviewing process for store personnel
  • Communicate weekly information, team milestones, developments, and concerns
  • Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies
  • Resolve operational customer concerns in the leader's absence
  • Identify and rectify hazards, maintain store equipment
  • Maintain store cleanliness and proper signage
  • Assist in stock ordering and merchandising
  • Ensure product quality and accurate signage
  • Assist with store payroll, total loss budget, inventory counts, and training
  • Supervise day-to-day team operations and escalate issues when necessary
  • Ensure timely and effective completion of assigned responsibilities
  • Comply with company policies and procedures and uphold security and confidentiality
  • Perform other assigned duties
