Job Description
Ag Plus is a well-established cooperative serving the agricultural community in northeast Indiana. With over one hundred years of history rooted in integrity, resilience, and family values, Ag Plus has grown from a small group of dedicated farmers into a thriving cooperative with over 1,400 members. The company remains locally owned and operated, fostering direct connections with the farming community it supports. Unlike many cooperatives that require memberships or annual fees, Ag Plus is open to everyone in the region, ensuring that the benefits of its success are continually reinvested into the local markets and communities it serves. This approach strengthens the bonds between Ag Plus and the communities throughout eleven counties in northeastern Indiana. Ag Plus operates as a full-service agribusiness with multiple divisions: agronomy, energy, feed, grain, and turf. Each division offers specialized products and services designed to meet the unique needs of agricultural producers and related industries. From precision crop nutrients and seed solutions to reliable liquid fuels, propane, quality feed, grain services, and turf products, Ag Plus is dedicated to providing high-quality, value-driven offerings that enhance productivity and sustainability for its members and customers. The cooperative's mission emphasizes customer-driven service and profitability while maintaining a commitment to community enrichment and employee dedication. This mission is reinforced by their vision to lead in service, growth, innovation, efficiency, community support, unity, and strength.
The Fuel Delivery Driver role at Ag Plus is critical in ensuring that agricultural and industrial customers receive timely and safe deliveries of petroleum products, including gasoline, diesel fuel, lubricants, and Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). This position requires adherence to all local, state, and federal safety regulations, including those mandated by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The driver is responsible not only for the safe operation of commercial vehicles but also for performing daily vehicle inspections, maintaining accurate delivery documentation, and communicating efficiently with dispatch and customers to facilitate smooth delivery operations. Because fuel products are hazardous, this role demands a strong understanding of safety protocols and hazardous materials handling. The Fuel Delivery Driver acts as a vital link between Ag Plus and its customers, embodying the cooperative’s values through exceptional customer service and professionalism. This full-time position offers varied routes with work hours primarily coordinated within standard business hours from Monday to Friday, ensuring a balance between operational demands and quality of life. The role is ideal for individuals with commercial driving experience, particularly those with relevant endorsements and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. By joining Ag Plus as a Fuel Delivery Driver, candidates become part of a cooperative that not only values tradition but also innovation and community engagement, making a tangible difference in the agricultural supply chain throughout northeast Indiana.
