Collaboration with the culinary team is essential to plan and execute innovative menus, control inventory levels, and maintain proper food storage and rotation. Maintaining a clean and organized workstation underpins compliance with health and safety regulations. Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of pastry cooking experience preferred
- Valid Food Handler Certificate required
- Must hold valid authorization to work in the USA
- Able to work in a high-pressure environment
- Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of pastry cooking experience preferred
- Understands Baker's Percentage
- Strong knowledge of mixing techniques for sponges, mousses, etc.
- Strong knowledge of icing cakes
- Able to work in a high-pressure environment
- Valid Food Handler Certificate required
- Experience in a luxury hotel with comparable service and standards an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Diploma/Certification in a culinary discipline an asset
- Must hold valid authorization to work in the USA
