The Line Cook position at Creative Dining Services based at the Wings Credit Union headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colorado is an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals seeking a vibrant and supportive work environment. This role is perfectly suited for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and enjoy working in a busy, upbeat kitchen atmosphere. The primary responsibility of the Line Cook is to prepare and distribute food items efficiently to customers in a cafeteria setting, ensuring each dish retains its freshness, quality, and visual appeal. Attention to detail is crucial, as the role requires strict adherence to company policies, including portion control and plating procedures.

Working Monday through Friday from 6 am to 3 pm, this position offers no late nights or weekend shifts, making it ideal for those seeking a balanced work schedule. The Line Cook will employ batch cooking techniques to optimize food production, preventing both overproduction and shortages. A vital part of this role includes maintaining established food safety logs such as food temperatures and cooler checks, and ensuring all kitchen equipment operates correctly, reporting any issues promptly to supervisors. In addition to food preparation, the Line Cook may be responsible for opening or closing the kitchen, which involves securing doors and essential equipment.

Successful candidates will bring excellent customer service skills and a strong team-oriented attitude, supporting fellow kitchen staff to maintain smooth and efficient kitchen operations. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and the capability to work in varied environmental conditions, which may be hot, humid, or cold.

This position not only offers competitive compensation but also a comprehensive range of benefits, including medical plans with Health Savings Accounts (HSA), dental and vision coverage, a 401k plan with a generous company match, paid time off and holidays, a quarterly bonus program, and even earned wage access with the option to get paid daily. Employees also have access to a robust Employee Assistance Program that provides numerous free resources and discounts.
