Job Description
Green Country Village Senior Living is a well-established senior living community located in the vibrant city of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Nestled on a sprawling 26-acre campus, this community offers an inviting and uplifting environment where active older adults can enjoy an enriching lifestyle filled with rewarding opportunities, exceptional hospitality, and meaningful friendships. Conveniently situated near shopping centers, dining options, and the bustling downtown area, Green Country Village Senior Living is dedicated to providing more than just a place to live; it fosters a true community atmosphere where residents’ well-being and happiness are paramount.
Green Country Village Senior Living is currently seeking a dedicated and hospitality-focused Cook to join their Culinary Services team on a full-time basis. This role plays a vital part in delivering exceptional dining experiences to residents by adhering strictly to established menus, standardized recipes, and special dietary requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of meal preparation including determining food and supply requirements, overseeing timely procurement of supplies, and ensuring all food items are prepared to the highest standards. Ensuring cleanliness, safety, and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas is essential, as the cook will maintain all workspaces in an orderly and hygienic condition, promoting a safe environment for both residents and staff.
The position demands a proactive individual who is detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks effectively, balancing meal service with preparation for subsequent meals. This role also involves opening and closing dining areas, supervising station setups, and ensuring all side work is completed efficiently. With a focus on creating enjoyable dining experiences, the cook must possess excellent interpersonal skills to interact warmly and professionally with residents and guests alike. Candidates with experience in senior living communities or fine dining environments, along with strong familiarity with commercial kitchen operations and safety protocols, will find their skills well suited to this role.
This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage of $15, plus an additional $1 per hour shift differential for weekend work. The varied schedule includes weekend availability, requiring candidates to be flexible in their work hours. Beyond competitive pay, Green Country Village Senior Living values the holistic growth and satisfaction of its care team. The organization offers comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, with a significant portion of the associate medical premiums covered by the employer. Additional benefits include Aflac coverage, free meals during shifts, daily pay options, a generous paid time off (PTO) plan with accelerated accrual, six paid holidays with holiday bonuses, employer-paid life and disability insurance, a 403(b) retirement plan, and an educational reimbursement program.
Working at Green Country Village Senior Living means joining a team that embraces Hospitality Promises characterized by warmth, respect, attentiveness, accountability, diversity, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Employees are encouraged to provide personalized and courteous service to ensure residents and guests feel valued and supported at all times. With ongoing professional training and ample opportunities for career advancement, this role offers a fulfilling culinary career path within a compassionate and community-oriented setting.
