Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be proficient with verbal and written communication
- Must be reliable and able to work in a fast-paced high-volume environment
- Excellent multitasking skills and flexibility
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), HIPAA, insurance and referrals preferred
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Spanish speaking preferred
- Ability to operate computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets, and fax machines
- Compliant with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Proficient with verbal and written communication
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA, insurance and referrals preferred
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to type at 80 words per minute
- Spanish speaking preferred
- Excellent multitasking skills and flexibility
Job Duties
- Assisting patients in a friendly and efficient manner
- Checking in and out patients
- Data entry
- Verifying and updating patient information including demographics and insurance
- Verifying referrals and authorizations for services
- Taking calls in a multi-line phone system
- Processing and logging payments for copays and cosmetic procedures/product
- Scheduling appointments and procedures
- Managing high volume schedules for numerous providers
- Scanning and attaching a high volume of documents
- Managing medical records
- Processing faxes and referrals
- Various administrative tasks as required
