Job Description

Delta Hotel by Marriott Virginia Beach Waterfront is a premier hotel situated just steps away from the scenic Chesapeake Bay, offering guests an exceptional blend of comfort, elegance, and waterfront views. Operated under Crescent Hotels & Resorts, this establishment is part of a respected portfolio of hospitality properties known for delivering outstanding guest experiences and fostering positive work environments for their associates. Crescent Hotels & Resorts prides itself on its team of dedicated hospitality professionals, who contribute to creating memorable stays for each guest while enjoying a workplace culture that values individuality, growth, and inclusion. The company strives to support its associates with best-in-class learning opportunities, comprehensive health and wellness programs, and exclusive travel discounts, making it an ideal choice for hospitality professionals seeking to advance their careers.

This opportunity is for a Front Desk Team Leader at the Delta Hotel by Marriott Virginia Beach Waterfront. The role is crafted for a motivated hospitality professional with strong leadership capabilities and a commitment to exceptional guest service. This is a pivotal position within the hotel's front office, responsible for managing daily operations, motivating and guiding front desk staff, and ensuring that service standards align with both Marriott and Crescent Hotels & Resorts expectations. The Front Desk Team Leader will lead by example, fostering an environment of trust, respect, and collaboration among team members. This role involves supervising and managing staff, handling scheduling, managing guest services goals, and implementing hotel policies and procedures effectively.

The Front Desk Team Leader plays a critical role in optimizing guest satisfaction through daily oversight of the front office team and operations, managing budgets, and maintaining compliance with brand standards. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, an analytical mindset for managing financials and forecasts, and the ability to handle potentially challenging guest interactions with diplomacy and professionalism. They will be responsible for conducting regular department meetings, collaborating closely with other hotel departments, and actively participating in executive and financial reviews.

In addition to leadership duties, the role demands a hands-on approach with the capability to step into any front desk position as needed, ensuring seamless operations at all times. The position offers highly competitive wages alongside an exceptional benefits package for eligible associates, including health plans for you and your family, 401K matching, flexible scheduling, and attractive travel discounts across Crescent managed properties and Marriott locations. This position not only promises career advancement in a dynamic hospitality setting but also a supportive culture where associates are encouraged to bring their true selves to work and shine bright in their careers.
