About the Shores Resort & Spa: The Shores Resort & Spa located in Daytona Beach Shores, Florida, is a distinguished full-service resort featuring 212 guest rooms and approximately 20,000 square feet of event space. The Role: The position open at the Shores Resort & Spa is for a Front Desk Supervisor, a full-time role with competitive pay ranging between $22.00 and $24.00 per hour. The Front Desk Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily front desk operations including check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and handling guest inquiries. This leadership role ensures excellent guest service, smooth operational procedures, and efficient management of front office functions to maximize guest satisfaction. Supervisory responsibilities include leading front desk staff, addressing guest complaints and special requests promptly and professionally, maintaining hotel policies and brand standards, and coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are ready and guests have satisfying experiences.
Additional duties involve managing cash handling procedures and billing accuracy, fostering a positive work environment to promote teamwork, monitoring staff performance while providing coaching and feedback, and recruiting and training front desk associates. This position requires someone with strong leadership abilities, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills, alongside the flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. Experience with property management systems and hotel reservation software is preferred, along with at least 3-5 years of experience in front desk or hotel operations and a minimum of 1-3 years in a supervisory role. Preferred educational qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or a related field.
