The role of Front Office Manager at Sonesta International Hotels is a pivotal leadership position charged with overseeing daily operations within the Front Desk, Guest Services, and Transportation departments. The Front Office Manager will also oversee transportation services, ensuring safety and efficiency in shuttle operations and vehicle maintenance. Success in this role is measured through a variety of performance indicators including guest satisfaction scores, online review performance, labor cost management, and compliance metrics. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of front office leadership experience in a hotel setting, preferably within full-service or airport hotel operations. Strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a passion for customer service are vital to thrive in this role. Job Duties
- lead, coach, mentor, and develop front office and transportation team members
- establish clear performance expectations and hold team members accountable for results
- oversee all front desk operations including guest arrivals, departures, room assignments, guest requests, and service recovery
- monitor room inventory and coordinate with housekeeping to maximize room readiness and guest satisfaction
- ensure compliance with cash handling, credit card processing, and financial controls
- oversee daily airport shuttle and transportation operations ensuring safety, timeliness, and reliability
- monitor guest feedback, respond to concerns promptly, implement service recovery strategies, develop and manage departmental schedules based on occupancy and business demand
