This opportunity is for a Front Desk Agent at the Meritage Resort and Spa, a renowned luxury resort known for offering a Forbes-level hospitality experience. The Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding guest service by serving as the first point of contact for guests during check-in and check-out. This position ensures smooth daily front office operations, managing reservations, billing, room assignments, and guest requests with professionalism and efficiency. Paying close attention to detail and maintaining strong operational accuracy contribute to an elevated guest experience. Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in hospitality or front desk services
  • Proficient communication skills in English
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic knowledge of hotel property management systems
  • Capability to handle cash and perform billing tasks accurately
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure under pressure
  • Commitment to uphold company policies and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years of front desk, guest services, or hospitality experience preferred
  • Passion for hospitality and creating elevated guest experiences
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Ability to remain professional and composed in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle guest concerns with professionalism, empathy, and diplomacy
  • Experience with hotel PMS systems, POS systems, and Microsoft Office applications preferred
  • Basic understanding of front office operations including reservations, cashiering, billing, and guest relations
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak occupancy periods

Job Duties

  • Welcome guests with a warm, professional, and engaging demeanor
  • Process guest arrivals, room assignments, payment handling, billing accuracy, and key issuance efficiently
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide personalized service including resort information and local recommendations
  • Maintain strong knowledge of resort services, promotions, dining outlets, winery experiences, and local attractions
  • Support upsell opportunities including room upgrades, resort experiences, and special packages
  • Handle guest concerns and service recovery promptly and professionally
  • Coordinate with housekeeping, engineering, security, reservations, food & beverage, and front office teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain accurate guest records, cash handling procedures, and compliance with policies and safety standards
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment while maintaining professionalism and Forbes-level service standards
