Employing a strong team-focused culture, the organization values leadership, skill development, and accountability among all its employees to maintain operational excellence and to continuously improve guest satisfaction.
This establishment is currently seeking a Front of House Manager to lead its Front of House operations. This full-time role requires a minimum commitment of 45 hours per week and is classified as an exempt position. The Front of House Manager reports directly to the General Manager and holds significant responsibility in ensuring the success of various departments within the restaurant, notably including the bar and coffeehouse sections.
The Front of House Manager will be the pivotal figure in managing the hiring, training, and productivity of the Front of House team, driving performance through motivation and ongoing development. This individual must excel in relationship-building with both staff and guests while maintaining a positive and adaptive approach to the high-energy and ever-evolving restaurant environment. A vital aspect of this position is to manage operational standards and uphold food quality expectations, ensuring that every guest’s experience is delightful and memorable.
Key responsibilities of this role include designing and implementing staffing schedules based on projected needs, maintaining labor budgets, ensuring all staff certifications such as Food Worker and TAM/TIPS cards are current, and leading hiring and onboarding processes. The Front of House Manager is also expected to actively be present on the floor, monitoring guest and employee interactions, troubleshooting issues, and setting the standard for exceptional guest relations. They are empowered to make rational decisions independently, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a supportive team culture that emphasizes morale and cooperation.
The candidate must have strong communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with staff, guests, and vendors via multiple communication channels. Proficiency with the restaurant’s POS system and administrative software like Google Drive is crucial. Additionally, the individual should possess a working knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, cooking methods, and allergens to assist staff and guests effectively.
Physically, the position demands the ability to stand for prolonged periods and occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Candidates must be at least 21 years old to comply with the restaurant’s operational policies.
This company is an Equal Opportunity Employer, committed to abiding by Federal, State, and local laws concerning employment discrimination. They welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and uphold an inclusive hiring policy without bias related to race, gender, religion, or any other legally protected status. The role offers a supportive environment where growth, coaching, and development opportunities abound, making it an excellent career path for dedicated professionals in hospitality management.
