Job Description

Dish Society Mueller is a vibrant and community-focused restaurant known for its commitment to local sourcing, sustainability, and delivering high-quality hospitality experiences. As a prominent establishment in the hospitality industry, Dish Society offers a unique blend of farm-to-table dining and a team-first culture that prioritizes growth, connectedness, and pride in every aspect of the dining experience. The restaurant is dedicated to nurturing team members, ensuring that everyone, from entry-level staff to leadership, flourishes in a supportive and dynamic environment. Dish Society stands out for its meaningful mission that engages deeply with the community and values the hospitality profession as more than just a service but a craft and a calling.

The Shift Lead Manager (Front of House) role at Dish Society Mueller is a full-time position designed for individuals with previous restaurant experience and a passion for leadership and hospitality. This role plays an instrumental part in maintaining smooth operational flow during shifts, acting as the primary point of contact in the absence of senior managers. The Shift Lead is responsible for managing the front-of-house team, fostering a positive work environment, and exemplifying the brand’s core values: hospitality, pride, growth, and connectedness.

This position demands open availability, including willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the restaurant's peak busy hours when great leadership and team coordination are crucial. Shift Leads are essential in upholding the establishment’s standards for customer service by providing hands-on assistance, from taking orders and running food to handling drinks and resolving customer concerns. The role requires a leader who leads by example by maintaining cleanliness, demonstrating a strong work ethic, and delivering exceptional guest experiences consistently.

Shift Leads earn hourly wages plus tips and are part of the front-of-house tip pool, ensuring their compensation aligns with their responsibilities and contribution to the team. The work schedule usually spans 40 to 45 hours per week, with flexibility to adjust as needed based on business demands. Dish Society offers a flexible and collaborative team environment with opportunities for personal and professional growth, including open communication, positive coaching during peak periods, and supportive leadership.

Joining Dish Society means becoming part of a team-first culture where egos are set aside to focus on collective success. The company values each team member's contribution and fosters an environment where individuals can grow into leadership roles. Employees enjoy flexible scheduling options, shift meals with high-quality food, and participate in a meaningful mission that merges hospitality with community impact. This role is not just a job but a career path for those passionate about delivering outstanding service and leading teams in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Weekends are required, highlighting the importance of dedicated leadership during the busiest times in the restaurant’s weekly operations.
