Florida Repertory Theatre, commonly known as FLORIDA REP, is a distinguished professional theatre company that has been enriching the cultural landscape of Southwest Florida for 28 years. Located in downtown Fort Myers, this non-profit organization is deeply committed to producing a broad spectrum of theatrical works including musicals, comedies, and dramas. Throughout its history, FLORIDA REP has presented beloved productions such as Little Shop of Horrors, The Play That Goes Wrong, The Trial of Ebenezer Scrooge, and Tuesdays with Morrie. This company prides itself on delivering award-winning regional theatre experiences to a dynamic audience.\n\nWith an annual budget of $5 million and a dedicated staff of 55, Florida Repertory Theatre serves as a key cultural institution in the Fort Myers River District, attracting more than 100,000 patrons annually. Their performances take place in two historic venues: the 393-seat Arcade Theatre, built over 100 years ago and rich in local heritage, and the recently renovated 110-seat ArtStage Studio, designed for more intimate and experimental works. In addition to its vibrant performance schedule, FLORIDA REP operates a premier educational theatre program that reaches over 45,000 young people each year, fostering the next generation of theatre enthusiasts and practitioners.\n\nThe Front of House Manager at Florida Repertory Theatre is a pivotal senior staff position responsible for overseeing key front-of-house operations that directly impact patron satisfaction and the theatre's financial health. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a passionate team dedicated to the joys and challenges of live theatre. The Front of House Manager plays an instrumental role in managing box office operations, patron relations, and multiple revenue streams including ticket sales, bar and concession income, parking fees, and rental income. These combined revenue efforts are essential to sustaining the theatre’s artistic mission and operational viability.\n\nAs a frontline leader, the Front of House Manager works in close partnership with the Assistant Front of House Manager and broader theatre leadership to coordinate all front-of-house activities. This includes assembling and mentoring a diverse team of box office staff, bar personnel, parking attendants, and volunteers, ensuring outstanding customer service and achieving ticket sales goals. The Manager is entrusted with implementing strategic programs to maximize earned revenue and maintain efficient operations. Adept in using Audience View ticketing software, as well as experienced in managing staffing schedules, volunteer coordination, and financial reporting, the ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment where teamwork and detailed execution are paramount.\n\nThe role demands a high level of strategic thinking, work ethic, and leadership ability, as the Front of House Manager must also serve as the primary facilities manager for front-of-house areas and parking services, maintaining safety and security protocols. This includes managing vendor relationships for the bar and concessions, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. The position also involves close collaboration with marketing teams to develop promotions and pricing strategies to drive ticket sales, as well as coordinating volunteer engagement and special event support.\n\nOffered as a full-time position requiring 40+ hours per week with evenings and weekends to cover performances, the Front of House Manager role comes with a competitive salary range of $44,000 to $50,000 annually. Additional benefits include contributions towards health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, complimentary parking in a secure lot, and a welcoming, diverse, and growth-oriented workplace culture.
