The opportunity at hand is for a Front of House (FOH) Manager role at the San Jose location. This full-time position offers an annual salary range between $68,640 and $80,000, with the exact offer based on experience and other objective factors. As FOH Manager, you will play a key role in the success of a multi-million-dollar restaurant by leading and developing the front-of-house team. Your responsibilities will include attracting, retaining, and nurturing high-performing individuals, while delivering outstanding hospitality and upholding JOEY's high standards in product quality, profitability, and guest experience.

Your leadership will foster a collaborative and cohesive team environment focused on delivering what JOEY calls Iconic Hospitality. Daily duties include resolving guest service issues with urgency and professionalism, managing operational components such as sales, budgets, and labor, and coaching team members to exceed service and experience standards. You will also support recruitment, training, and development initiatives that build technical skills and ensure consistent, excellent execution on the floor. This role demands a dynamic, fast-paced mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for quality and professionalism. You will be instrumental in creating memorable guest experiences and contributing to the long-term growth of JOEY Restaurants in the San Jose area.

Job Requirements

  • 1-3+ years leadership experience
  • Able to obtain valid local and/or state Food Handler and California Responsible Beverage Service certifications
  • Passion for hospitality
  • Ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Able to walk and stand for prolonged periods
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and stretching
  • Repetitive manual tasks
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Job Duties

  • Foster a cohesive and collaborative team environment through exemplary leadership
  • Provide guests with friendly and attentive service throughout their dining experience
  • Resolve service issues and guest complaints with a sense of urgency, poise, and good judgment
  • Assist with managing store sales, budgets, cost of goods, and labor
  • Supervise and guide service and experience standards and provide impactful coaching as needed
  • Build sales opportunities and positive guest experiences
  • Fulfill recruitment needs, impact positive candidate experience and selection, and retain your team
  • Support training and development of technical knowledge and execution
  • Communicate daily focus and feedback to service and kitchen teams
  • Follow all food and alcohol service and handling safety precautions and procedures
