Job Description

Kalispel Tribe of Indians operates Northern Quest Resort & Casino, a premier entertainment and hospitality venue located in Washington State. This establishment offers a comprehensive range of food and beverage outlets that cater to a diverse clientele, focusing on delivering exceptional guest experiences and upholding the highest standards of service. The organization is committed to promoting strong community values and supporting its members through employment, emphasizing cultural respect and equal opportunity. Kalispel Tribe ensures its workforce is equipped with training and resources necessary to maintain operational excellence within a dynamic, fast-paced hospitality environment. Their food and beverage division is essential to the guest experience at Northern Quest, and they seek dedicated leaders to maintain and enhance the quality and efficiency of service for their patrons.

The role available is for a Front of House (FOH) Supervisor within the food and beverage outlets at Northern Quest. This supervisory position carries the responsibility of leading, coordinating, and motivating front of house team members to provide high-level guest services consistently. The FOH Supervisor ensures all activities comply with internal controls, policies, and procedures set forth by the management and the Kalispel Tribe. A key duty is to facilitate communications between service teams and culinary staff to ensure high-quality food and beverage delivery and to foster a collaborative working relationship.

The FOH Supervisor must be adept in managing staffing based on real-time business volume and budgeted labor percentages. This role involves daily pre-shift meetings to communicate changes, specials, and service standards to team members. Problem-solving is crucial as the supervisor handles guest complaints and staff issues during shifts while escalating major incidents to the Food and Beverage Manager. Maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, guest satisfaction, and team relations are paramount in this role. The FOH Supervisor also manages inventory requisition, supervises operational procedures, and ensures the safety and security of company assets.

Candidates are expected to possess prior supervisory experience in the food and beverage industry, with proficiency in craft beer, mixology, and wine service. Computer literacy, especially with POS systems and Microsoft programs, combined with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, are vital to succeed. The position requires flexibility in work hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as the ability to adhere to all regulatory and company requirements such as obtaining a Tribal Work Permit and health certifications. This role offers an opportunity to advance in a culturally rich, community-oriented environment while contributing to one of the Northwest’s leading resort and casino destinations. The FOH Supervisor plays a critical part in ensuring guest satisfaction and operational success, making it a fulfilling career choice within the hospitality industry.
