Job Description

Pet Paradise is a leading full-service pet care destination that offers comprehensive and premium care services to pets and their owners. Established to provide the happiest, healthiest, and longest life possible for furry family members, Pet Paradise has grown to serve pet parents with a variety of exceptional amenities. Their brand encompasses resort-style pet day camp and care, professional pet grooming services, low-stress and high-quality veterinary care, and overnight boarding that feels like home. Operating in ten states with more than 60 locations either currently in operation or under development, Pet Paradise is an expanding company well-known for its dedication to pet welfare and customer satisfaction. The company promotes a drug-free, smoke-free, and equal opportunity work environment, adhering to all federal and state laws prohibiting discrimination based on age, color, race, religion, sex, disability, sexual orientation, or national origin.

The Front Desk Supervisor role at Pet Paradise is a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about pets and leadership. This position requires leadership and customer service expertise to manage the front desk team, ensuring smooth daily operations and a positive experience for pet owners and their pets. The supervisor will take responsibility for directly overseeing Front Desk Associates by leading, training, and coaching based on the company’s policies and standards. They will assist the management team with employee training, work assignments, coaching, and performance evaluations.

The role is hands-on and dynamic, involving various tasks such as processing check-ins and check-outs, handling incoming phone calls, de-escalating customer service issues, and maintaining the cleanliness of the lobby. Front Desk Supervisors also play an essential part in safety by reporting any hazards or behavioral concerns involving guests or employees to management. In addition, the position requires the supervisor to help new and existing employees complete their Learning Management System (LMS) courses and training guides.

This is a physically active role that involves pet handling, walking dogs, cleaning, and maintaining suites. Candidates need to be comfortable working around dogs of all sizes and physically able to lift up to 60 pounds. The role also demands excellent communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility with scheduling—including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times—and a valid driver’s license with the ability to pass a criminal background check.

Starting at $16.50 per hour, with scheduled $0.50 raises after six months and on annual anniversaries, this position offers a competitive salary coupled with valuable perks and benefits. Pet Paradise provides extensive opportunities for career advancement through programs such as the Unleashed Leadership Academy, Dog Training Academy, and Grooming Academy, each offering development toward supervisory roles, canine behavior specialist certification, or professional grooming credentials.

Additional benefits include complimentary pet day camp, 30 days of complimentary pet boarding (excluding holidays), on-demand pay, discounted veterinary and grooming services, dog/cat adoption assistance, fitness reimbursement, paid time off, a 401(k) savings plan with company matching, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance for full-time employees, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with mental health benefits. As a member of the team, employees can also bring their dogs to work and enjoy discounted services, reinforcing the company’s commitment to both employee and pet well-being.

Working at Pet Paradise means joining a community of pet people who are dedicated to ensuring every pet receives loving care and focused attention while in the facility’s safe and entertaining environment. The relationships built with pets and their parents make this role rewarding and enjoyable for those who love animals and leadership. Pet Paradise prides itself on providing employees with the tools and support necessary for success and growth within the company, fostering a culture of development, respect, and passion for pets and people alike.
