This job listing is for the position of Front Desk Supervisor, a pivotal role within a hotel setting that focuses on overseeing front desk operations to maintain excellent guest service consistent with the brand and hotel standards. This role falls within the operational team and offers a pathway for growth to assistant front office manager, front office manager, and eventually assistant general manager. The Front Desk Supervisor in this position shoulders the responsibility of managing front office staff, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and consistently delivering high levels of customer satisfaction. It involves the handling and resolution of guest complaints to enhance their stay experience, actively participating in activities that promote guest interaction and encourage repeat visits, and managing all front office tasks including reservations, check-ins, check-outs, cash handling, and more.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining the lobby and front areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and appearance, implementing sustainability practices as part of HHM's EarthView program, and ensuring safe work habits in compliance with OSHA and MSDS standards. The role requires flexibility with work schedules including holidays, weekends, and various shifts, as well as physical capability to perform duties involving extended standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. The Front Desk Supervisor plays a critical role in contributing to the hotel's overall success by enhancing guest satisfaction scores and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Job Duties

  • Supervise front desk operations in accordance with established guest service quality and sustainability standards
  • interview select train schedule coach and support associates ensuring they perform according to brand or hotel standards
  • resolve guest complaints and concerns by researching and determining effective solutions
  • be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work towards increasing them
  • participate in lobby ambassador and guest interaction activities to encourage repeat stays
  • oversee front office operations in absence of management
  • perform bookkeeping tasks such as balancing accounts and audits
  • make and confirm reservations
  • promote company and brand-specific marketing programs
  • greet guests immediately upon arrival and assign rooms
  • provide welcome folders with keys and certificates
  • compute bills collect payments handle cash and make change
  • close out guest accounts and negotiate compromises if needed
  • create action plans to remedy guest service deficiencies
  • maintain hotel public areas for cleanliness and appearance
  • follow sustainability guidelines related to EarthView program
  • practice safe work habits and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
  • perform other duties as requested by management
