Job Description

The Avalon of Lewis Center is a distinguished senior living community dedicated to providing exceptional care and hospitality to its residents. Nestled in a welcoming environment, this establishment is committed to enhancing the quality of life for seniors by fostering a supportive and engaging atmosphere. As part of a larger network of Avalon communities, The Avalon of Lewis Center emphasizes personalized service, comfort, and a vibrant lifestyle for all residents. The company values its employees as integral to its mission, investing in their growth and well-being to ensure a thriving work culture. This approach enables staff members to contribute meaningfully to the lives of seniors, making each day rewarding and impactful.

We are currently recruiting for a hospitality-focused Concierge position that serves as the warm and professional first point of contact for residents, guests, prospective employees, suppliers, vendors, and outside service providers. This role is vital in creating a welcoming atmosphere within the community by offering exceptional customer service and ensuring every visitor or resident encounter is positive and engaging. The Concierge will provide ongoing telephone coverage, adeptly handling inquiries and resolving issues with a calm and courteous demeanor aligned with the organization’s objectives.

In addition to greeting visitors with a smile and enthusiasm, the Concierge will manage important logistical tasks such as accepting and documenting package deliveries, notifying residents, preparing maintenance work orders upon request, and supporting the Business Office Manager with various projects. The position requires a genuine passion for hospitality and senior engagement, offering an opportunity to be part of an extraordinary life rather than simply a job. This role demands a commitment to high professionalism, attention to detail, and accountability, as well as the ability to maintain positive interactions and embrace diversity within the community.

This is a part-time role requiring availability during weekday evenings from 4 PM to 9 PM and weekend afternoons from 2 PM to 9 PM, with a need for flexibility in scheduling. The pay starts at $15 per hour, commensurate with experience. The Avalon of Lewis Center offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, vision, and dental insurance, life insurance, a retirement plan with 401K options, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, sick leave, holiday pay, free staff meals, and participation in an Employee Recognition Program. Candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment where hospitality and compassionate care intersect will find this role fulfilling and meaningful.
