Job Description
Mindful Therapy Group is a dedicated company focused on empowering therapists, psychologists, and nurse practitioners to succeed in private practice by providing essential business support. Since starting operations in 2011, they have established themselves as a pivotal resource for independent mental health care providers across the Pacific Northwest. Serving over 2,000 providers in more than 20 locations, the company excels in offering high-quality billing, marketing, and administrative services that allow healthcare professionals to focus on patient care rather than the complexities of running a business. This growth-driven environment fosters a sense of community and innovation, positioning Mindful Therapy Group as a leader in mental healthcare administration.
The Provider Support Specialist (PSS) role at Mindful Therapy Group is a dynamic, full-time position offering $22.00 per hour and is ideal for individuals eager to work in a fast-paced, supportive atmosphere. This role acts as the first line of support for the independent provider members, delivering exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks fundamental to the smooth operation of the providers' private practices. The PSS builds and maintains professional relationships with healthcare providers, collaborating closely with various internal departments such as the Office Manager, Intake Department, and Billing and Collections Teams to optimize operations.
This position requires excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and the ability to anticipate and respond to the unique needs of each provider. It involves a thorough understanding of various administrative processes including scheduling, provider messaging, intake procedures, and client care coordination. The PSS plays a vital role in sustaining high standards of privacy and compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring all client information is handled securely.
In addition to managing routine inquiries and technical support related to the patient portal and telehealth modules, the Provider Support Specialist is a key contributor to maintaining the professional environment of the office. They support the company’s brand by fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere and helping to keep the office clean, organized, and functional. This role promotes teamwork and continual process improvement, often collaborating with the Office Manager to address and resolve escalations and suggest operational enhancements.
Applicants with backgrounds in restaurant and hospitality are especially encouraged to apply, highlighting the company’s openness to customer-service-oriented individuals who are passionate about learning and growth. This position not only offers the chance to develop invaluable skills relevant to healthcare administration but also provides an opportunity to be part of a mission-driven company focused on positively impacting the mental health care landscape.
