Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- At least two years of front office experience preferably in a medical setting
- One to two years of customer service experience
- Ability to type 40 words per minute
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Proficient with computer software and database systems
- Able to maintain HIPAA compliance
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Must demonstrate compassionate attitude
- Ability and willingness to travel to other sites within geographic region
- Physical ability to sit, stand, walk throughout the day
- Able to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and 25 pounds occasionally
Job Qualifications

- Attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9, and CPT-4 codes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to ask probing questions to patients
- Caring, compassionate, and patient attitude
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance
- Ability to multitask and proactive problem-solving skills
- Ability to type 40 words per minute
Job Duties
- Create a positive and professional first impression of the practice and show a we care attitude
- Schedule appointments and assist with scheduling additional testing directed by the physician
- Ensure all required patient paperwork is compiled for daily appointments
- Collect co-pays and past balances at check-in and enter them into Practice Management batch
- Review and enter required patient demographics and clinical information into Practice Management and EHR
- Scan patient driver’s license and insurance cards into the system
- Obtain required referrals, scan into EMR, and link to the day’s appointment
- Reconcile payment batches daily and submit to Site Manager
- Schedule follow-up procedures and coordinate local ASC cases
- Assist patients with completion of Phreesia registration system
- Travel to other sites within a reasonable geographic region as necessary
