We are currently seeking friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Front Desk Receptionists. This role is vital as you will be the face of The Animal Keeper, responsible for creating a warm and positive first impression for our clients and their beloved pets. The Front Desk Receptionist is a dynamic position that involves multitasking in a fast-paced environment, managing phone calls, greeting clients in person, and efficiently processing payments and booking appointments through our "Atlantis" software. As the front line of communication, you will play a key role in representing the values and quality of The Animal Keeper.

In this role, you will also engage in cross-training, potentially learning other positions within the company to enhance your skills and offer versatile support to the team. The job requires excellent customer service skills, a genuine passion for working with pets, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously. You will be trained comprehensively to sell services and retail products effectively, assist with general cleaning and housekeeping to maintain a pleasant environment, and communicate pertinent information clearly to clients. This position offers a full-time or part-time employment opportunity with competitive pay ranging from $17.00 to $18.00 per hour.

Job Requirements

  • Proficiency with Windows and basic computer knowledge
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Comfortably working around dogs, cats, birds, and pocket pets
  • Willingness to assist with cleaning up after pets
  • Ability to effectively upsell services and relay information about offerings to clients
  • Availability to work flexible hours including mornings, nights, weekends, and all holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with Windows
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working around a variety of pets including dogs, cats, birds, and pocket pets
  • Willingness to assist with cleaning tasks

Job Duties

  • Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival
  • Answer phones and manage client inquiries efficiently
  • Use Atlantis software to book appointments and manage schedules
  • Process payments accurately and handle retail sales
  • Provide information and upsell services and retail products
  • Assist with cleaning and maintaining a tidy, welcoming front desk area
  • Support other team members through cross-training and flexible task management
