Job Description
Health Care Resource Center is a progressive substance abuse treatment organization specializing in outpatient clinic services. The organization is dedicated to providing the highest quality care to individuals struggling with opioid use disorder. Situated in a comfortable clinic setting, Health Care Resource Center emphasizes addressing the physical, emotional, and mental aspects of addiction to foster long-term recovery and improve patients' quality of life. With a reputation for compassionate and comprehensive care, the clinic is recognized for its commitment to patient well-being and adherence to equality and non-discrimination principles, following all Federal, State, and local laws regarding employment practices.
The full-time Patient Care Monitor/Greeter position is vital in maintaining the safety, order, and welcoming atmosphere of the clinic facility. This role requires a respectful, alert, and vigilant individual who can ensure the protection of all employees and patients within the premises. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring patient flow, verifying patient identification upon entry, and managing the orderly conduct inside the clinic, especially around medication dispensing times. Additionally, the person in this position may provide backup coverage to the receptionist, enhancing overall operations. The role includes maintaining a secure environment by eliminating loitering and congregating both inside and outside the clinic, promptly reporting any critical incidents to the Operations Director or Clinic Director, and cooperating with local authorities during emergencies.
This role demands a professional demeanor, with an emphasis on courteous interaction and a non-judgmental approach toward chemically dependent persons. The candidate is expected to participate in staff meetings and ongoing training, wear professional attire including identification as a security guard, and perform regular security checks throughout the day. Responsibilities also include controlling crowd behavior to prevent disruption and ensure timely patient departure post-dosing unless an appointment is scheduled.
The position offers an hourly wage ranging from $18.00 to $20.00, depending on experience, education, specialty, and training. BayMark, the affiliated organization, provides an excellent benefits package including a 401K match, medical, dental and vision insurance, voluntary worksite benefits (such as accidental injury coverage), company-paid short and long-term disability, basic life insurance, paid time off, bereavement leave, flexible sick time, an employee referral program, jury and witness duty leave, and educational opportunities through BayMark University Learning. Candidates joining Health Care Resource Center can expect a supportive and respectful work environment that values professional growth and patient-focused care.
