The Front Desk Manager position is typically found within hotels that place a high value on guest satisfaction, revenue management, and seamless customer service. The hotel industry demands personnel who can manage front desk operations efficiently while upholding brand standards and compliance to various policies. This role often involves collaboration with various departments, including management like the Assistant General Manager (AGM) and General Manager (GM), to achieve the hotel’s strategic objectives. This position may be offered on a full-time basis with variable shifts including first, second, and third shifts to maintain 24-hour coverage, emphasizing flexibility and resilience.

Furthermore, the Front Desk Manager monitors and analyzes guest feedback through digital platforms such as GuestVoice, Kipsu, SALT, and social media channels, responding promptly within 72 hours. This proactive approach underpins the hotel’s commitment to guest engagement and continuous improvement. The role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and leadership capabilities to motivate and guide front desk associates. Coordinating staff schedules in accordance with daily occupancy patterns and managing group booking logistics are also key components of the job. Compliance with relevant laws, policies, and protocols forms a foundation for this position, which also entails participating in performance coaching, disciplinary actions, and ensuring team effectiveness.
