With multiple facilities and a diverse team of healthcare professionals, AdventHealth has established itself as a leading provider of hospital and outpatient services, always focused on delivering quality patient care with a personal touch. This commitment to excellence and community support creates an environment where employees are valued not only for their skills and expertise but also for the unique experiences and perspectives they bring to the team. Employees at AdventHealth are offered a supportive workplace culture that fosters professional growth and spiritual development, reflecting the organization's mission and values.
The role offered is a full-time position based at the AdventHealth facility located at 5830 W Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway in Kissimmee, Florida. The position involves working day and weekend shifts, with a typical schedule that requires availability weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The schedule alternates between Week A and Week B, ensuring comprehensive coverage across all shifts. This job primarily entails supporting administrative and clerical tasks that are essential to patient registration and communication within the medical facility.
In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for answering telephone calls, addressing patient inquiries and concerns, and ensuring that all communications are accurate and prompt. Effective communication tailored to patients of various age groups is critical. Employees will engage directly with patients or guarantors to collect important demographic, employment, insurance, and medical condition information necessary for accurate registration. Handling "release of information" requests from patients, external medical offices, attorneys, and insurance companies is also a key responsibility of this role.
Additionally, the employee will verify insurance eligibility and accurately determine the collection amount due upfront. They will prepare, process, and appropriately file medical records as required for documentation by healthcare providers. The position also involves participation in departmental performance improvement initiatives, contributing to the continual enhancement of workplace processes and patient care standards. AdventHealth seeks candidates who demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, customer service aptitude, and the ability to maintain calm and professionalism in difficult situations. Familiarity with computer operations, including word processing and basic office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, and scanners, is necessary. The role offers a competitive pay range from $15.46 to $24.73 per hour, reflecting experience and qualifications.
AdventHealth supports its employees by providing a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance starting from day one. Paid time off is also available from the start of employment, alongside a 403-B retirement plan and four weeks of fully paid parental leave. The organization places a strong emphasis on employee well-being, offering whole person well-being resources, mental health support, career development opportunities, and even pet benefits. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals looking to grow their careers in a dynamic healthcare environment that values inclusive, compassionate care and professional advancement.
