The Front Desk Representative plays a crucial role as the first point of contact within the UFC GYM community, ensuring that every member and guest receives the Ultimate Service Promise through exceptional customer service. This full-time role involves greeting members warmly, managing phone communications professionally, and facilitating a smooth check-in process that verifies memberships and promotes class participation. Beyond greeting and administrative support, the Front Desk Representative is responsible for retail sales of supplements, apparel, and other products, using POS systems accurately and efficiently.
This position demands a high level of professionalism and adherence to company policies, maintaining an organized and welcoming front desk and lobby area at all times. The Front Desk Representative also assists in inventory and pricing as needed and is tasked with communicating effectively with members regarding club events and membership status. Integral to the role is a commitment to safety, promptly reporting or escalating any unsafe or emergency situations.
Reporting directly to the Front Desk Lead and Operations Manager, the Front Desk Representative is a key link between the members, staff, and management, supporting operational excellence throughout the club. Candidates should bring a friendly, outgoing personality combined with strong interpersonal skills, including telephone etiquette and customer service orientation. The role suits individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment where attention to detail, multitasking, and a positive attitude are vital.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in customer service within health clubs, retail, hospitality, or food service industries, and possess basic computer skills, including managing multiple phone lines efficiently. Physical stamina is required as the role involves standing for extended periods, as well as occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. A high school diploma or GED and current CPR/AED certification are mandatory qualifications.

- minimum 6 months customer service experience in health club, retail, hospitality, or food service industry

Job Duties
- Warmly greet members and guests as they enter and leave the club
- answer incoming calls professionally and efficiently and transfer phone calls promptly
- check in members and verify membership
- sign up members for group fit or ultimate classes
- register prospective members and direct them to the membership department
- address members' questions or direct them appropriately
- sell supplements, apparel, and other UFC GYM retail items to members
- ring up purchases on the POS system and provide accurate change
- maintain professional image and behavior at all times
- respond professionally to requests and inquiries
- provide information about special club events
- immediately report or escalate unsafe conditions or emergencies
- keep front desk and lobby neat and clean
- perform opening and closing procedures
- attend monthly and scheduled meetings
- assist with inventory or product pricing as needed
- call past due members regarding late dues and down payments
