Job Description

Seven Gables, a Marriott Tribute Hotel, is part of a prestigious multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company known for its commitment to excellence in guest services and maintaining high standards throughout its operations. This esteemed hotel is dedicated to providing guests with a unique and memorable experience through exceptional service, comfortable accommodations, and a welcoming atmosphere. As a member of the Marriott Tribute brand, Seven Gables benefits from the global recognition and trusted quality associated with Marriott International, ensuring that guests receive consistent, high-quality experiences during their stay.

The hotel prides itself on a team-driven and values-based culture that fosters collaboration, respect, and continuous professional growth. Employees at Seven Gables are encouraged to engage with guests warmly and knowledgeably, which helps build trust and encourages repeat visits. With a focus on community engagement and sustainability, the hotel embraces innovative practices that support both guest satisfaction and environmental responsibility.

The Front Desk Agent role at Seven Gables is a pivotal position designed to be both challenging and rewarding. This part-time/full-time flexible position offers an excellent opportunity for those passionate about hospitality and guest interaction. The Front Desk Agent serves as the first point of contact for guests arriving at or departing from the hotel, ensuring that all interactions are handled with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a warm personality, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for greeting and welcoming guests, managing reservations, processing payments, issuing room keys and safety deposit box access, and handling guest concerns promptly and effectively. Additionally, this role involves promoting the hotel’s preferred guest program, upselling room upgrades and amenities, and facilitating smooth communication between guests and other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Beyond front desk operations, the position may include operational support such as assisting with shuttle services and guest luggage, providing local area knowledge and recommendations, handling messages, mail, and wake-up calls, and ensuring all aspects of guest service are met in accordance with company policies and standard operating procedures. The Front Desk Agent must also exhibit strong safety and security skills, maintaining control over keys, understanding emergency protocols, and assisting in other departments during emergency situations.

Candidates with experience working in well-known hotel chains such as Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt will find their background particularly valuable as the position emphasizes adherence to established standards and a commitment to excellence. The work environment at Seven Gables is indoors with a moderate and controlled temperature, demanding physical stamina to stand and be mobile for extended periods, as well as the ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.

This role requires proficiency in the primary language(s) used in the workplace and strong numerical and computer skills to effectively manage reservation systems, financial transactions, and communication processes. Candidates must be able to adapt to a flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, and be enthusiastic team players who contribute positively to the hotel’s culture and success.

Seven Gables offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits including vacation and holiday pay, reduced room rates across its portfolio, and a 401(k) retirement plan. This opportunity is ideal for individuals seeking a career in hospitality with growth potential within a reputable and supportive environment. Join Seven Gables as a Front Desk Agent and become an essential part of a team dedicated to delivering unforgettable guest experiences and making every stay exceptional.
