RAM Hotels is a dynamic and innovative hotel management company headquartered in Columbus, Georgia. Over the past few years, RAM Hotels has established itself as a leader in the hospitality industry within corporate America. The company proudly serves several well-known midscale hotel brands across key markets in Alabama and Georgia. At RAM Hotels, the focus is on continually meeting and exceeding guest expectations, while also evolving the perception of the hospitality industry. Employees joining RAM Hotels don't just switch companies to advance their careers—they become part of a family dedicated to excellence and growth within the hotel management sector. The company culture emphasizes teamwork, customer service, and professional development.
The Front Desk Clerk role at RAM Hotels is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are friendly and enjoy providing exceptional service to guests. This position is essential in ensuring that guests have a memorable stay by managing the check-in and check-out processes while delivering superb customer service in a courteous and professional manner. As a Front Desk Clerk, you will act as the first point of contact for guests, assisting with inquiries, special requests, and resolving any issues that arise. This role demands someone who is organized, flexible, and proactive in creating positive guest experiences that go beyond the typical hotel stay.
The Front Desk Clerk will serve as a concierge, helping guests with restaurant reservations, directions, and recommendations for local attractions. You will need to be familiar with the hotel’s property layout, room types, rates, and services to provide accurate information and assistance. Using suggestive selling techniques, you’ll promote available rooms and hotel amenities to guests as appropriate. You will also handle administrative duties such as verifying guest payment methods, completing credit checks, posting charges, tracking reservations, and ensuring front desk areas are maintained in an orderly and welcoming fashion.
This role involves close collaboration with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure room status reports are up to date and special requests are managed effectively. The position requires the flexibility to work varying shifts, including day, night, and overnight hours, to meet the business needs. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, along with excellent organizational abilities, are crucial for success. Physical requirements include the ability to walk, sit, stand during your shift, and lift up to 40 pounds.
RAM Hotels provides an uplifting work environment where employees are encouraged to resolve guest concerns with compassion and composure while maintaining professionalism under pressure. The ideal candidate will be approachable, calm, and capable of turning any guest encounter into a positive impression, consistently promoting the hotel’s brand values. Commitment to embracing diversity and demonstrating respect for multi-cultural environments is fundamental. In addition, this role offers opportunities for career growth within a respected company known for its leadership in the hospitality industry.
