Job Description

The Ritz-Carlton, a prestigious luxury hotel brand within Marriott International, is renowned worldwide for its exceptional service and commitment to creating unforgettable experiences for its guests. With more than 100 award-winning properties across the globe, The Ritz-Carlton has established itself as a leader in luxury hospitality, setting the highest standards in guest care and comfort. Each property reflects a dedication to elegance, attention to detail, and thoughtful service that defines the Gold Standards — the cornerstone of The Ritz-Carlton's culture and success. Marriott International, the parent company, is a global hospitality powerhouse known for fostering an inclusive work environment where associates from diverse backgrounds are valued and empowered. With a commitment to equal opportunity and non-discrimination, Marriott and The Ritz-Carlton create a workplace where every employee can thrive and grow professionally.

This role is for a Full-Time, Non-Management Front Desk Associate at The Ritz-Carlton located at 4150 N MacArthur Blvd, Irving, Texas. Preferably assigned to the overnight shift, this position is integral in delivering a seamless and luxurious guest experience from check-in to check-out. The Front Desk Associate is responsible for processing guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing and activating room keys. In addition, handling all payment types — including room charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit cards — is a key aspect of the role. The associate processes all check-outs, managing any late or disputed charges to ensure guest satisfaction and accuracy.

Guest communication is a vital component of this position. The associate answers, records, and processes all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns, ensuring a high level of guest service. Coordination with housekeeping to track room readiness, communicating parking procedures, dispatching bell or valet staff, and providing guests with directions and information regarding property amenities and local points of interest are also part of the daily responsibilities. Daily reporting duties include running arrival and departure reports, identifying special requests, verifying report accuracy, and completing designated cashier and closing reports using the property’s computer system.

The role also demands adherence to company safety and security policies. The associate will report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management promptly. Maintaining professionalism includes adhering to uniform and appearance standards, preserving confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets. Employees are expected to welcome guests warmly, anticipate and address service needs proactively, assist guests with disabilities, and communicate clearly using appropriate telephone etiquette.

This position requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and the physical ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance. Additional duties may be assigned by supervisors as needed.

While no prior work or supervisory experience is required, candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent. The Ritz-Carlton and Marriott International offer an empowering environment where employees are encouraged to embody the Gold Standards — including the Employee Promise, Credo, and Service Values — fostering a culture of creativity, thoughtfulness, and compassion. Employees not only build rewarding careers but also become part of a global community committed to exemplary hospitality and continued personal and professional growth.
