The Front Desk Agent role at Courtyard by Marriott-Rowan University plays a pivotal part in delivering superior guest services by providing courteous and efficient check-in and check-out experiences. This position requires handling guest complaints and concerns with professionalism to ensure overall guest satisfaction. The Front Desk Agent is responsible for processing payments and adhering strictly to hotel policies regarding cash handling and credit procedures, ensuring accurate transactions every time. This role also involves generating daily reports and collaborating with housekeeping to resolve any discrepancies in room status, making the agent crucial to smooth hotel operations.

Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • minimum one year customer service experience
  • previous hotel experience preferred
  • ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers
  • computer experience preferred
  • bilingual English/Spanish a plus

Job Duties

  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts
  • handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction
  • process all check-ins and check-outs according to established hotel requirements
  • adhere to payment, cash handling and credit policies/procedures
  • generate, print, and distribute daily reports to designated departments/personnel
  • resolve discrepancies on the room status report with Housekeeping
  • other duties as assigned
