Job Description

Snowbird is a renowned resort located in the heart of the Wasatch Mountain Range near Salt Lake City, Utah. Known for its breathtaking mountainous terrain and stunning natural vistas, Snowbird is a premier destination for outdoor enthusiasts and travelers seeking an exceptional experience in both winter and summer seasons. The resort has earned a prestigious reputation for delivering top-tier services and engaging recreational opportunities, ranging from skiing and snowboarding in the winter to hiking and mountain biking in the summer. Snowbird's commitment to excellence extends beyond its outdoor attractions, reflecting in the quality and professionalism of its employees, who share a profound passion for the outdoors and hospitality. Snowbird offers a wide array of employment opportunities including full-time, part-time, seasonal, and multi-seasonal roles, accommodating a diverse workforce dedicated to meeting the dynamic needs of its guests throughout the year.

As a Front Desk Agent at the Lodge at Snowbird, you will play a critical role in the guest experience by serving as the first point of contact for visitors during their stay. This full-time, year-round position demands a high level of professionalism, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The agent is responsible for managing guest check-ins and check-outs, accurately processing payments, and providing detailed information about the resort's facilities, events, and services. This role is essential in ensuring guests feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive until their departure.

Working full-time with shifts typically scheduled between 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., the Front Desk Agent must be flexible and willing to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. Exceptional communication skills are required to effectively handle reservation bookings, respond to guest inquiries, and resolve any issues or complaints promptly. The ability to upsell and promote resort services including restaurant and spa reservations while maintaining a friendly demeanor is key to enhancing the overall guest satisfaction and driving revenue.

Additional responsibilities include protecting guest privacy, updating guest information, and assisting other departments such as Concierge services when needed. The work environment at the lodge is pleasant and comfortable but can occasionally present challenges such as winter weather-related commuting issues and the need to stand for extended periods. Snowbird values a positive attitude and team-oriented mentality, expecting all employees to maintain excellent working relationships within a collaborative workplace culture.

Snowbird offers its employees competitive benefits including ski passes, discounts on dining and retail, medical and dental insurance options, 401k retirement plans, and free transportation via bus and rideshare vans. The company strongly supports diversity, equal opportunity, and maintains a harassment-free workplace. Candidates must complete a background check and meet all company policies regarding conduct and appearance. If you are enthusiastic about the outdoors and dedicated to outstanding guest service, Snowbird presents an exciting career opportunity to thrive within a vibrant resort community.
