Job Requirements
- Ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- high work ethic and self-initiative
- ability to work in a standard office environment
- capability to sit for prolonged periods and use keyboard and mouse extensively
- ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and occasionally lift 10-25 pounds
- effective verbal and written communication skills
- willingness to be part of a team focused on guest satisfaction
- reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in hotel front desk or hospitality preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- proficiency in front office computer systems
- knowledge of hotel reservation and billing procedures
- ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- basic math skills for cash handling
Job Duties
- Greet and communicate cordially with guests
- promptly and professionally check guests in and out of the hotel
- assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservations when necessary
- post all charges accurately and efficiently
- manage cash handling including receiving payments and making change
- review reservations with special requests and block rooms accordingly
- maintain knowledge of hotel rates, discounts, and reservation procedures
- take same day reservations promptly and follow cancellation and relocation procedures
