Job Requirements

  • High school or equivalent education
  • experience in hospitality preferred
  • experience in front desk or customer service role preferred
  • ability to speak, read, write and understand primary workplace language
  • good communication skills
  • knowledge of computer programs and hotel systems
  • ability to handle cash transactions
  • ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • ability to push and pull equipment up to 250 lbs
  • maintain neat and clean appearance
  • comply with attendance and grooming standards
  • follow safety and security policies
  • ability to multitask and work in limited space
  • ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch occasionally
  • finger dexterity for office equipment operation
  • willingness to work varying schedules as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in the hospitality industry preferred
  • experience in front desk or customer service role preferred
  • good communication skills including verbal, written and electronic
  • basic computer skills including Windows OS, MS Office and hotel PMS
  • ability to perform complex mathematical calculations
  • excellent leadership and customer relations skills
  • detail oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • ability to effectively deal with customers requiring patience and diplomacy
  • strong issue resolution and analytical skills
  • ability to work independently

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival
  • execute the registration and checkout process at the front desk
  • accept payment for guests accounts including cash management and currency exchange
  • accurately handle cash transactions and balance cash drawer
  • acknowledge rewards members and returning guests
  • take and manage guest bookings and up-selling opportunities
  • review arrival reports and ensure compliance with special reservation requests
  • attend scheduled training and hotel meetings
  • ensure awareness of hotel promotions and VIP arrivals
  • follow safety and security protocols
  • promptly answer and transfer calls
  • coordinate with other departments to satisfy guest needs
  • answer inquiries about hotel policies and local attractions
  • maintain lobby cleanliness and organization
  • assist with handling mail, packages, and guest items
  • perform other duties as assigned
