The Front Desk Agent position at HomeTowne Studios is a vital role focused on delivering an outstanding guest experience. This role serves as the first and last point of contact for guests and requires an individual who can maintain professionalism, warmth, and efficiency at all times. Front Desk Agents are responsible for welcoming guests with a friendly greeting and smile, handling reservations, managing check-ins and check-outs, and overseeing guest accounting and cashier functions. They utilize front desk computer systems to manage reservations, monitor room statuses, and promote future sales. Confidentiality of guest information and hotel data is paramount, and communication with management and other team members is critical for smooth hotel operations.

Successful Front Desk Agents will collaborate closely with housekeeping and maintenance departments, ensuring that real-time room status updates are accurately communicated and that guest needs and requests are promptly addressed. This role requires someone who is organized, communicative, and customer-focused, eager to contribute to enhancing the guest experience. Whether it involves reviewing and reporting rate availability or addressing operational problems, this position demands a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic and guest-centered environment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred or equivalent experience
  • One year in previous customer service position
  • Must have basic office skills including math, cash handling, and computer skills
  • Basic English communication skills, both verbal and written

Job Duties

  • Welcome guests with friendly greeting and smile while performing all guest related services
  • Handle reservations request
  • Check guests in/out
  • Handle guest accounting and cashier functions
  • Make, change and monitor reservations
  • Reviews and reports rate availability using front desk computer system
  • Update and monitor room status
  • Promote future sales
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
  • Communicate with the General Manager and other Front Desk Representatives, as needed, about problems, requests and/or concerns regarding guests and rooms
  • Work with housekeeping to communicate checkouts, stay-overs, sleepers, skip, rooms cleaned and rooms in need of maintenance
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
