Job Description
The Ritz-Carlton Hotel at 4150 N MacArthur Blvd, Irving, Texas, is a distinguished luxury hotel brand known worldwide for its exceptional service and attention to detail. As part of Marriott International's prestigious portfolio, The Ritz-Carlton upholds the highest standards of hospitality, striving to create memorable experiences for every guest. With its award-winning properties worldwide, the hotel embodies the pinnacle of luxury accommodations and guest services. It's a setting where dedicated professionals are empowered to showcase creativity, kindness, and compassion while consistently delivering excellence. The company is committed to inclusivity and equal employment opportunities, fostering a diverse work environment where every associate feels valued and respected.
The role available is a full-time, non-management position based on site rather than remotely, offering an overnight shift preference. This position is integral to the guest services operations, specifically within the rooms department. The primary responsibility involves ensuring a seamless and welcoming check-in experience for guests. This includes verifying reservations, assigning rooms, issuing and activating room keys, and effectively processing various payment methods such as cash, checks, debit, and credit cards. The role requires handling guest account charges, including charge inquiries or those related to late check-outs. Additionally, the Associate will attend to, document, and process all guest communication—calls, messages, requests, inquiries, or concerns—with professional courtesy and efficiency. Coordination with the housekeeping department is vital for ensuring that rooms are pristine and ready for guest arrivals. The position also encompasses guiding guests and visitors regarding parking procedures and directing bell service personnel as needed.
An essential aspect of this role is to offer guests useful information about hotel amenities and local attractions, enhancing their overall stay. The associate will be responsible for preparing daily reports on arrivals, departures, and special requests while ensuring accuracy. Cash handling duties include balancing and reconciling the register at the start and end of the shift, processing personal and traveler’s checks, and meeting accounting specifications for receipt handling. Compliance with company security policies and reporting unsafe conditions or incidents to management is mandatory for maintaining a safe environment.
This position requires maintaining a professional appearance and confidentiality of sensitive information, demonstrating the Ritz-Carlton’s commitment to luxury and discretion. Staff must warmly welcome guests in accordance with company standards, anticipate their needs, provide assistance to individuals with disabilities, communicate clearly and professionally, and foster positive workplace relationships. Physical aspects of the job include standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods and moving objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance. Additional reasonable duties may be assigned as needed by supervisors.
Joining The Ritz-Carlton team means becoming part of a brand that sets the gold standard for luxury service. The hotel emphasizes continuous learning and practicing its Gold Standards, including the Employee Promise, Credo, and Service Values. Employees are offered opportunities to take pride in their work and team, contributing to a global organization recognized for outstanding guest care and comfort. By becoming part of The Ritz-Carlton and Marriott International family, individuals will find a collaborative and supportive environment where they can achieve their best work, fulfill their purpose, and grow into their best professional selves.
