Job Description

We are a well-established hotel dedicated to providing exceptional hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences. As a key player in the hospitality industry, our hotel prides itself on delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and comfort, and creating a welcoming environment for all guests. With a commitment to excellence and a team-oriented culture, we strive to exceed guest expectations in every interaction, ensuring that each stay is enjoyable and hassle-free.

This role is for a Front Desk Agent, an essential position within our hotel operations. The Front Desk Agent is the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for greeting them cordially and assisting with their check-in and check-out processes. This position requires not only a friendly and professional demeanor but also a thorough working knowledge of front office operations and hotel systems. The agent will handle reservations, including pre-registration and blocking rooms for special requests, manage billing accurately, and ensure all charges are properly processed. Attention to detail is paramount, particularly in cash handling, where accuracy and integrity are critical. The $27.20 per hour wage reflects the importance of this role in maintaining smooth and efficient front desk operations.

The Front Desk Agent must possess deep familiarity with the hotel’s reservation systems, including the ability to take same-day reservations swiftly, handle cancellation and relocation procedures accurately, and recognize various hotel rates and discounts. This role requires monitoring special requests and ensuring they are accommodated appropriately to enhance guest satisfaction. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team dedicated to creating great guest experiences are essential in this fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Additionally, this role involves certain physical requirements typical of an office environment. The successful candidate will spend prolonged periods working at a desk on a computer, occasionally standing and walking as needed. Fine motor skills for keyboarding, typing, and operating office equipment are necessary. The ability to read and focus on computer screens and printed materials with attention to detail is important, as is effective verbal and written communication. The job may also require occasionally lifting or moving light items weighing up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

In summary, this Front Desk Agent role offers an exciting opportunity to join a reputable hotel committed to exceptional service and guest satisfaction. With competitive pay, a supportive team environment, and a clear pathway to contribute meaningfully to the overall guest experience, this position is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work ethic, possess strong organizational skills, and enjoy being part of a hospitality team that values collaboration and service excellence.
