Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • six months to one year related experience and/or training
  • ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedure manuals
  • excellent communication skills to present information and respond to guests
  • problem-solving skills to handle a variety of issues
  • ability to operate Property Management System and PBX system
  • physical ability to stand, walk, talk, hear frequently
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • maintain professional appearance and hygiene standards
  • adherence to key control and credit policies

Job Duties

  • Provide high level of customer service
  • conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms including VIPs, repeat guests, packages, and special requests
  • check in and check out hotel guests professionally and friendly
  • answer all phone calls promptly and knowledgeably
  • complete AM, PM, Third Shift checklists by end of shifts
  • follow established key control policy
  • maintain professional appearance and hygiene
  • ensure proper credit policies are followed and verify credit limit reports
  • submit lost and found articles with reports
  • assist with Concierge services including knowledge of local area and events
  • demonstrate knowledge of fire and emergency procedures
  • open, secure, and balance daily shift bank with all transactions
  • monitor room availability throughout the day
  • review hotel selling status using yield management system daily
  • attend monthly department meetings
  • coordinate with other departments such as Sales, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, and Valet for optimal guest satisfaction
  • perform all other duties as directed by supervisor
