Job Description
Savoy Companies is a dynamic Texas-based real estate platform known for owning, managing, and building apartment communities. With a portfolio encompassing approximately 8,000 apartment units and growing, their footprint is solidly established across the multifamily housing market. Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Savoy Companies operates with a business model that integrates real estate ownership with hands-on property management and development, positioning themselves uniquely in the industry by building the communities they operate. The company’s culture emphasizes growth, stability, and a balanced work environment, offering real benefits such as full medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and paid holidays to their employees. They foster a supportive team atmosphere where laughter, cooperation, and mutual celebration of wins are highly valued. Savoy Companies is privately held and Texas-grown, blending the benefits of a stable, expanding company without the downsides of being either a cash-burning startup or a faceless corporate entity.
The Front Desk Administrator role at Savoy Companies is a crucial position located at their Dallas corporate headquarters. This is a full-time, in-office role from Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering competitive hourly pay based on experience, with a start date as soon as possible. As the first point of contact for visitors, vendors, executives, and residents, the Front Desk Administrator brings warmth, efficiency, and exceptional organizational skills to the office environment. They are the heartbeat of the corporate office, responsible for elevating the daily experience for everyone who walks in the door.
This role is far from passive; it demands a proactive mindset, multitasking abilities, and a willingness to own diverse responsibilities that keep the office running smoothly. The Front Desk Administrator greets visitors as if they were the most important person of the day, answers and routes phone calls with precision and upbeat energy, and serves as the comforting voice to frustrated residents while connecting them to the appropriate team members. Beyond visitor management, the administrator handles various operational tasks: sorting mail, ensuring the kitchen and supplies are well-stocked, managing office logistics, handling expense reports, calendar scheduling, vendor check-ins, and accommodating requests from multiple leadership staff simultaneously.
Key attributes for success include natural outgoingness, an obsession with detail, strong multitasking capabilities, and a service-oriented attitude. Taking ownership and reliability are paramount, as the Front Desk Administrator is relied upon to foresee and address issues before they arise—be it noticing a low coffee supply or a malfunctioning printer. Candidates comfortable with technology, including Microsoft Office suite, Outlook, Teams, phone systems, and basic troubleshooting, will excel in this fast-paced environment.
Savoy Companies values potential growth within the role, viewing it as a launchpad to other internal career opportunities such as human resources, marketing, accounting, or property operations. Bonus qualifications like bilingual English/Spanish skills, experience in high-volume customer service or real estate sectors, and a notary commission (or willingness to obtain one, funded by the company) are highly desirable. Overall, the Front Desk Administrator is more than an administrative role—it’s a critical function that shapes the daily rhythm of a thriving corporate office and fosters a positive, productive workplace culture.
