Job Description

Hospitality Quotient, powered by Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG), stands as a pioneering advisory, training, and thought-leadership platform deeply rooted in the core values of Enlightened Hospitality. USHG is widely recognized for its innovative approach to hospitality, emphasizing genuine human connection, ethics, and a commitment to cultivating positive workplace cultures. Hospitality Quotient (HQ) leverages this rich heritage and the operating philosophy of Danny Meyer, a celebrated figure in the hospitality industry, to offer organizations across various sectors actionable insights and strategies for enhancing leadership, culture, and performance. Whether it is through workshops, advisory consultations, keynote speaking engagements, or emerging digital offerings, HQ aims to transform how enterprises foster human-centered work environments and deliver meaningful experiences on a scalable level.

As Hospitality Quotient expands its footprint as a premium leadership brand, the organization seeks to forge long-term partnerships that go beyond traditional training programs by serving as a strategic ally in shaping company culture and leadership styles. This elevated positioning aligns with HQ's ambition to become the go-to resource for visionary companies intent on embedding Enlightened Hospitality principles into the fabric of their operations.

The Freelance Content Strategist role at HQ is a pivotal position designed to craft and maintain the platform's editorial identity and refine its narrative across digital channels. This contract role entails a commitment of 12 to 15 hours per week, offering flexibility through a hybrid work arrangement based in New York City. Candidates will be compensated $2,500 per month for their expert contributions, which involves working closely with the HQ Brand Lead and marketing leaders. This strategic partnership ensures all content, from written narratives to visual expressions, consistently aligns with HQ's overarching mission and positioning.

The core responsibility of the Freelance Content Strategist centers on translating HQ's philosophy and real-world application into compelling thought-leadership material. This includes curating content for the website, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and newsletters to enhance the platform's visibility and impact. The strategist will define HQ’s editorial voice, developing a robust content roadmap and an organized publishing calendar in collaboration with the brand and design teams. The role demands an ability to write and edit various content types such as point-of-view essays, case studies, profiles of advisors and speakers, and narratives around workshops and events, ensuring the storytelling resonates with HQ's audience.

Moreover, the strategist will collaborate extensively with HQ leadership, facilitators, and subject-matter experts, converting complex ideas into accessible, publishable content. They are also tasked with repurposing video content to form a coherent editorial content system that supports HQ’s multi-channel presence. Establishing efficient workflows for content development, review, publishing, and performance measurement using tools like Asana will be an essential function of the role.

This position calls for a seasoned professional who is not only skilled in editorial execution but is also strategic in aligning content efforts with broader marketing objectives. By doing so, the Freelance Content Strategist ensures that every piece of content contributes to the growth and influence of Hospitality Quotient as a thought leader in culture and leadership transformation.
