A distinguished division of Live Nation Entertainment, HOB Entertainment operates exceptional club venues nationwide under the brand House of Blues. These venues offer an eclectic range of live music genres including Rock, Hip Hop, Country, Rock en Español, Blues, Jazz, Reggae, and Pop. Known for its southern-style cuisine and juke-joint inspired ambiance, House of Blues also features the World Famous Gospel Brunch. Since opening on Thanksgiving Day in 1992, House of Blues has embraced a strong community commitment through the International House of Blues Foundation, which supports various charitable causes.
The Bartender role at House of Blues is a pivotal position that combines the art of mixology with excellent customer service to create memorable experiences in a vibrant live music and dining environment. This role involves serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and food with professionalism and cheerfulness to guests. The ideal candidate is passionate, motivated, innovative, and possesses an entrepreneurial spirit. Bartenders at Live Nation Entertainment embrace resourcefulness and forward-thinking approaches to ensure upholding the company’s high standards of service and culture.
Bartenders at House of Blues are entrusted with delivering impeccable service in an upscale dining and night-life setting. They maintain deep knowledge of drink trends, mixology fundamentals, and the harmonious pairing of food and beverages like wine, beer, and spirits. The role requires the ability to suggest wines and beverages that complement the menu, ensuring an elevated guest experience. Responsible alcohol service per local laws and company policies is critical, including verifying IDs and recognizing when to refuse service to intoxicated guests.
The work environment is fast-paced and often loud, suited for individuals who thrive in dynamic atmospheres. Bartenders organize and prioritize orders, prepare beverages according to standard recipes, handle cash and the bartender bank, and maintain safety and sanitation standards. They also engage guests in a friendly manner to cultivate repeat business and contribute to the venue’s welcoming culture.
Live Nation Entertainment offers a flexible schedule, competitive pay, and the chance to be part of a premier live entertainment company. Working as a bartender at House of Blues not only demands strong interpersonal skills and professionalism but also offers opportunities to grow in a vibrant industry with exciting career paths. This role is essential for delivering unique experiences that blend live music, savory food, and exceptional drink service, making every guest visit memorable.
