Job Description

Snowbird is a renowned mountain resort located in the heart of the Wasatch Mountain Range in Salt Lake City, Utah. Known for its breathtaking views and challenging terrain, Snowbird is a premier destination for outdoor enthusiasts and winter sports lovers. The resort operates distinctive summer and winter seasons and offers a wide range of employment opportunities including full-time, part-time, seasonal, and year-round positions. Employees at Snowbird are valued for their passion for the mountains and the outdoors, and the company fosters a work environment that is dynamic, inclusive, and focused on guest service excellence.

The Restaurant Busser position at Snowbird Center is a year-round, part-time role primarily focused on weekend shifts, with schedules varying based on business needs. The position operates within the resort’s restaurant that is open daily from 8 am to 3 pm. The busser plays a critical role in delivering exceptional dining experiences by ensuring that tables are cleaned, reset, and maintained efficiently and effectively. This role requires coordination with front and back restaurant teams to maintain cleanliness, replenish supplies like napkins and condiments, clear plates and utensils promptly, and meet guest expectations throughout their dining experience. Beyond the physical tasks, bussers must maintain a professional attitude, actively communicate with team members, interact courteously with guests, and uphold all safety and cleanliness standards at the workstation.

Working as a busser at Snowbird offers a unique opportunity to be part of a team within a fast-paced, customer-focused restaurant environment in a beautiful mountain resort. Employees are often required to be on their feet for extended periods, bend and stoop to reset tables, and carry trays with dishes and glassware. The restaurant setting includes dealing with moderate to high noise levels and temperature variations between different areas. However, bussers benefit from supportive teamwork with servers, kitchen staff, and other personnel, as well as from a culture of effective communication and collaboration.

Snowbird offers a variety of benefits including ski pass and comp ticket benefits, employee discounts across eateries, retail shops, lodging, mountain school, and daycare services. Additional perks include a 401(k) plan, discounts with Powdr partners, and free transportation options such as UTA bus service, rideshare vans, and employee shuttles. This role also requires individuals who can work any day of the week including weekends and holidays and may occasionally require staying overnight during times of road closures. Candidates must hold a valid Food Handler Permit and Alcohol Certification and be at least 21 years old to be eligible for this position.

As an equal opportunity employer, Snowbird embraces diversity in all its forms and is committed to maintaining a workplace free of discrimination and harassment. Whether you are searching for seasonal, multi-seasonal, or year-round employment, Snowbird offers a friendly and dynamic work environment with numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth. Those passionate about the outdoors and delivering outstanding guest experiences are encouraged to explore this opportunity and apply online.
