Job Description

Porter Logistics is a rapidly growing third-party logistics (3PL) provider focused on revolutionizing modern warehousing and fulfillment solutions. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, the company has experienced significant expansion over the past decade, evolving from a modest two-person operation occupying 10,000 square feet to managing over 1 million square feet of warehouse space distributed across multiple facilities in the state. This impressive growth reflects Porter Logistics' commitment to serving high-volume, high-expectation clients spanning various industries, delivering tailored logistics services that ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Excitingly, Porter Logistics is expanding its footprint into Savannah, launching its first facility in this new market. This milestone represents a major step in the company's growth strategy and presents a unique opportunity for individuals eager to participate in establishing, developing, and scaling warehouse operations from inception. Culturally, Porter Logistics nurtures a close-knit team environment where leaders recognize employees personally, individual contributions have immediate impact, and exceptional work is met with tangible opportunities for advancement.

The company thrives on cultivating a dynamic, fast-paced work atmosphere that challenges its workforce daily. Associates at Porter Logistics are encouraged to embrace challenges, engage in creative problem solving, and pursue continuous professional growth within a supportive organizational framework that promotes from within. For professionals motivated by diverse responsibilities and the chance to make a real difference in a high-energy setting, Porter Logistics offers a compelling career path packed with potential.

The role of a Forklift Operator at Porter Logistics is pivotal to sustaining the smooth flow of the warehouse operations. As the core operator of critical material handling equipment—including sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, cherry pickers, and reach trucks—a Forklift Operator plays a key role in the processing of inbound and outbound products. Responsibilities encompass loading, unloading, sorting, staging, and transportation of goods throughout the busy logistics environment, requiring precision, adaptability, and a proactive mindset.

This position goes well beyond a typical nine-to-five job. Rather than simply following routines, operators are expected to proactively identify and solve problems, take ownership of their tasks, and respond effectively to the dynamic pace and occasional unpredictability intrinsic to warehousing activities. Success in this role is defined not only by operational efficiency and safety but also by the operator’s ability to contribute meaningfully to team objectives and company growth.

In recognition of the critical nature of this role, Porter Logistics offers competitive compensation ranging from $20 to $22 per hour, commensurate with experience. Employees also benefit from comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans, paid time off, paid company holidays, and opportunities for overtime. The company’s dedication to employee well-being and career advancement makes this an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals seeking stability and growth in the logistics sector.
