Job Description

Dragon Alley is Huntsville's premier Asian Street Food inspired restaurant and bar, renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and authentic culinary offerings. Known for its lively ambiance featuring live music, handmade dumplings, craft cocktails, and big screens for sports and special events, Dragon Alley provides a unique dining experience that combines traditional flavors with modern entertainment. As a beloved local hotspot, the establishment prides itself on delivering excellent customer service and quality food, making it a favorite destination for both residents and visitors alike. Dragon Alley's commitment to creating a fun, dynamic environment for guests and employees reflects its position as an innovative leader in the local hospitality scene.

We are currently seeking a fast-paced and detail-oriented Food Runner to bridge the essential connection between our kitchen and guests. This pivotal role is tailored for individuals who thrive in brisk, high-energy settings and who possess a keen eye for detail. As a Food Runner at Dragon Alley, your primary responsibility is to ensure that every dish seamlessly reaches the correct table promptly, maintaining optimal freshness and perfect presentation. This role supports both the kitchen staff and waitstaff, ensuring that during the busiest hours, service remains smooth, efficient, and guest-focused.

The Food Runner serves as the crucial link that enhances guest satisfaction by verifying order accuracy, communicating special requests or dietary restrictions effectively between front-of-house and back-of-house teams, and anticipating guest needs with appropriate condiments or beverage refills. Beyond order delivery, the position demands assisting in keeping the dining environment spotless by clearing used plates and glassware, as well as managing station supplies to maintain continuous service flow. This role emphasizes teamwork, physical stamina, and the ability to work under pressure, characteristics vital to functioning optimally in a fast-paced restaurant setting. We offer both full-time and part-time positions, providing flexible schedules that include nights, weekends, and holidays, accommodating various availability needs.

With competitive hourly pay ranging between $5.00 and $10.00, plus tips, Dragon Alley values and rewards its staff accordingly. We believe in nurturing a workplace culture that supports employee growth through paid training and ongoing development. If you are someone with a can-do attitude, enjoy engaging with people, and want to be part of an innovative dining concept, then this position as a Food Runner could be your ideal opportunity to grow within the hospitality industry while contributing to an exciting and thriving local establishment.
