Job Description

Walmart Supercenter #1008, located at 250 W 65th St, Loveland, CO, 80538, is part of the globally recognized Walmart chain, one of the largest retail corporations that offers a wide array of products to its customers, including groceries, apparel, electronics, and household goods. As a retail giant, Walmart is dedicated to offering accessible and affordable shopping options to its communities while maintaining a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and employee welfare. With a welcoming and collaborative work environment, Walmart supports growth and development opportunities designed to help associates thrive both personally and professionally.

This part-time position is for a Food and Consumable Associate role at Walmart Supercenter #1008. The role primarily focuses on delivering excellent customer service by ensuring the availability and attractive presentation of food and consumable products in the store. Associates are responsible for moving incoming merchandise onto the salesfloor efficiently and creatively merchandising seasonal display features that meet the dynamic needs and preferences of the customers. This role works during mid-shifts and closing shifts, providing flexibility that can cater to varied scheduling needs.

Compensation for this role ranges from $17 to $30 per hour, exceeding or meeting the applicable minimum wage standards. Additional earnings may be available through performance incentives that are awarded either quarterly or annually. Premium pay ranging between $0.35 and $3.00 per hour may also be granted based on specific factors such as the schedule, facility, season, or particular work performed. Multiple premiums may indeed apply simultaneously if eligibility criteria are met.

Associates in this position are integral to maintaining the food and consumables department’s attractive and customer-friendly presentation to maximize customer satisfaction and sales. Walmart ensures that these associates have access to various employee benefits that contribute to their overall well-being and financial security. The benefits package includes comprehensive health insurance plans covering medical, dental, and vision care. Financial advantages are also provided through a 401(k) retirement plan, stock purchase options, and company-paid life insurance coverage.

Paid time off provisions include parental leave, family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting leave, reflecting Walmart’s commitment to supporting work-life balance. Other additional benefits include short-term and long-term disability plans, company discounts, Military Leave Pay, and reimbursements for adoption and surrogacy expenses. Part-time associates are also eligible for paid time off or paid personal time off (PTO/PPTO) to be used for vacations, sick leave, holidays, or other personal needs. The exact PTO amount depends on the associate's job classification and tenure with the company and complies with all paid sick leave laws where applicable.

Walmart further supports employee education through its Live Better U program, which is an education benefit initiative offering various programs ranging from high school diploma completion to bachelor’s degrees and including English Language Learning and certificate courses. This program fully covers tuition, books, and fees for both full-time and part-time employees working at Walmart and Sam’s Club locations.

Walmart holds a firm policy on maintaining a drug-free and safe workplace, strictly prohibiting illegal drugs and alcohol use on the job. This policy ensures a productive, secure, and professional work environment for all associates and customers alike. Overall, this Food and Consumable Associate role provides a competitive opportunity for individuals seeking a part-time position in a reputable retail environment, offering fair compensation, meaningful benefits, and chances for growth and education.
