The store operates with a focus on community involvement and continuous improvement to meet the needs of customers and associates alike.
The role of Food and Consumable Associate at Walmart Supercenter #1440 is a part-time position with available shifts during mid-shift and closing hours. The hourly wage ranges from $15 to $28 per hour, with the actual rate at or above the minimum wage applicable in the job location. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance-based incentives and premiums that range from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on specific schedules, facilities, seasons, or particular work tasks. Multiple premiums can be applied when applicable.
This role is integral to ensuring that the store maintains optimal stock levels and attractive merchandising that meets customer needs. Walmart places a strong emphasis on the well-being of its associates, providing competitive wages, performance incentives, and a broad range of benefits designed to promote happiness and financial security. Medical, vision, and dental coverages are included, alongside financial benefits like a 401(k) plan, stock purchase opportunities, and company-paid life insurance. Additional perks include paid time off (PTO and PPTO) for vacation, sick leave, holidays, and other uses, with incremental increases based on tenure and job classification.
Associates at Walmart Supercenter #1440 also benefit from leave entitlements such as parental leave, family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting leave, supporting work-life balance and personal responsibilities. The company’s commitment to education is reflected through the Live Better U program, which fully covers tuition, books, and fees for a range of educational programs from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees, including English Language Learning and certificate courses. This benefit is open to both full-time and part-time associates.
