Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must submit to and pass a background check
  • Must pass Luby's Cashier Certification criteria
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Open to varied work schedules depending on restaurant needs
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Previous experience is preferred but not required as training is provided

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous customer service experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with point of sale (POS) systems is beneficial
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team player mentality

Job Duties

  • Take guests orders accurately and efficiently
  • Package, label, and bag food items for takeout and delivery
  • Receive and ring up guest orders using the point of sale system
  • Deliver food and beverages to customers
  • Process payments and handle cash register operations
  • Participate in Off Premise Dining activities
  • Provide courteous and timely customer service
