By November 2020, approximately 99% of Luby's stockholders voted in favor of the company's dissolution.

As of April 2024, Luby's operates 38 locations in Texas, with its headquarters situated in the Near Northwest district of Houston. The original location was founded in San Antonio, Texas, by Robert Luby.
