The Food Services Team at Pioneers plays an integral role in supporting on-campus events by assisting the Executive Chef in food preparation and service. This role is crucial in ensuring that guests receive high-quality food and service, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes and contributing to successful event execution. Responsibilities include setting up and cleaning both kitchen and dining areas before and after events, preparing food according to recipes, delivering safe and efficient food service, and maintaining cleanliness through tasks like washing dishes and sanitizing equipment. Team members are also expected to restock paper products and actively take initiative to meet team goals and deadlines. The position is part-time and paid, focusing on event-based work with an average workload of 15-20 hours during event weeks, which typically occur 2-3 weeks each month. Availability for evening and weekend hours is required to meet event scheduling needs. Job Duties

  • setting up and cleaning the kitchen and dining area before and after events
  • food preparation per recipes
  • safe and efficient food service to guests
  • cleaning floors and removing garbage
  • washing dishes by means of a commercial dish machine and three compartment sink
  • sanitizing equipment, restocking paper products
  • taking initiative as part of a team to meet goals and deadlines
