The Food Service Worker/Cashier position at Chartwells K12 is based at KIPP New Orleans Schools, located at 7701 Grant Street, New Orleans, LA 70126. - Ability to perform cashier duties accurately
- Ability to maintain sanitation standards

Job Duties
- Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables
- Weigh and measure designated ingredients
- Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards
- Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment
- Store foods in designated areas following wrapping, dating, and food safety and rotation procedures
- Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements
- Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control
- Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service
- Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Relay relevant information to supervisor
- Perform sales transactions
- Enter sales into the cash register to ensure accurate purchase recording
- Make change, accept declining balance cards and other acceptable payment forms
- Issue receipts to customers
- Follow standard procedures for issuing cash refunds
- Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts ensuring drawer compliance with overage/shortage standards
- Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining service area cleanliness
- Perform other duties as assigned
