The Food Service Worker role at Aramark is an essential position within the food service team. This role involves assisting the manager with food and meal preparation, maintaining accurate cash receipts and meal records, and supporting the completion of daily operational reports. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for maintaining high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and safety practices within the kitchen. The position demands someone who can work efficiently under pressure while adhering strictly to all food safety regulations and company policies.

In this position, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of food and baked goods according to pre-established menus, ensuring that every meal is properly garnished and meets presentation standards to maximize customer satisfaction. You will also be expected to supervise critical tasks related to food temperature and storage, keeping work and storage areas clean and organized, and performing major cleaning duties such as scrubbing and sanitizing kitchen equipment and surfaces. Daily communication with the manager is vital to stay aligned with the menu and operational expectations. The role also requires understanding and executing duties related to kitchen equipment care, safe food handling, and compliance with uniform and personal protective equipment policies.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service preferred
  • ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • physical ability to perform lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • valid Food Handler's Permit or willingness to obtain one
  • adherence to uniform policy and use of personal protective equipment

Job Qualifications

  • Food Service Certificate as needed
  • sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
  • be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure

Job Duties

  • Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
  • prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
  • understand what is inclusive of a meal
  • ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
  • serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
  • use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
  • timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
